Newlyweds

Throughout history, the role of holy, praying families has been a crucial one to aid in the evangelization of our country.

With your help, we hope to revitalize this driving force.

Several dioceses have already expressed a desire to participate in an ambitious project, to offer Magnificat subscriptions, in the local Bishop’s own name, to each newly married couple. Our proposal is to expand this opportunity to all the American dioceses.

Here is a response we received from Theodore Musco, Director of the Office of Family Life in the Archdiocese of New York.

“On behalf of Cardinal Dolan, I want to thank the Magnificat Foundation for this wonderful opportunity to share with those preparing for Catholic marriage this wonderful monthly devotional that will undoubtedly bring them closer to Christ and His Church.”

For this new project to move forward, the Magnificat Foundation needs your help. While Magnificat will provide the issues at cost, we need to raise $100,000 in order to be able to launch this campaign, amidst all the other great works that we do, within the first six dioceses that have signaled their willingness to participate but are unable to underwrite the costs of this exciting pastoral initiative themselves.

It was an American priest, Father Peyton, who famously taught, “The family that prays together stays together.” Today’s young husbands and wives can experience this grace anew. Each month, Magnificat will come to their door, nurturing their prayer life and accompanying their participation at Mass. In some cases, it will assist in calling young married couples back to Church!

Our young married couples form the future pillars of our parishes and communities, and their children will become the Church of the coming decades.

Thank you in advance for considering a tax-deductible donation to support the work of the Magnificat Foundation.
