The Magnificat Foundation and the Diocese of Brooklyn proudly coordinated the Magnificat Day of Thanksgiving in Brooklyn, NY on Saturday, October 6, 2018. This memorable day at the Kings theatre featured four of America’s greatest Catholic preachers: Fr. Peter John Cameron, o.p., Bishop Robert Barron, Dr. Scott Hahn, and Seán Cardinal O’Malley, o.f.m. cap.
After amazing successes in Orange County, CA, in 2012; Philadelphia, PA, in 2013; and Memphis, TN, in 2014; the Magnificat Day phenomenon was invited to Brooklyn, NY, to celebrate the worldwide Silver Jubilee of Magnificat.
A program emphasizing great classical music and art guided our hearts and minds throughout the day. It featured a unique symphonic meditation written by Magnificat founding publisher Pierre-Marie Dumont and performed by a world-class symphony orchestra and choir. Bishop Robert Barron is creator and host of the Catholicism series and founder of Word on Fire Catholic Ministries. He is currently Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
Update: Bishop Barron has been elected to represent the United States at the upcoming Synod on Young People, the Faith, and Vocational Discernment, in Rome.
He will not be able to join us physically but will be present at the event with a video message.

The Magnificat Day of Thanksgiving took place in the world-renowned Kings theatre in Brooklyn (1027 Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11226).
Upon its opening in 1929, the Loew’s Kings theatre was one of the most exquisite theaters in the nation. It officially opened its doors to the public on September 7, 1929. Its monumental restoration started in 2006 and marks the rebirth of a historic venue and its transformation into a state-of-the-art live performance theater.
